Centra has an exciting opportunity for a Business Services Administrator in Columbus, Indiana. The Business Services Administrator provides administrative support for the Business Services Department. This position processes commercial loans from approval to closing. Maintains Business Department specific files, directs visitors, assists with materials distribution for loan committees, prepares minutes from loan committee meetings, and completes special projects as assigned. The Business Services Administrative Assistant supports Members for loan and deposit products and online banking services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This position may be required to perform additional duties as requested. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform.

  • Assists with the loan closing process. Scheduling the closing dates, preparing loan documents, verifying necessary signatures and disbursement of loan proceeds, and post-closing functions.
  • Schedules appointments, creates correspondence, researches, and prepares reports from previously established formats as well as new reports.
  • Participates in specials projects by assisting in the testing process, implementation and training of new products and services.
  • Administrator and Member support for the Business Banking Online platform.
  • Maintains updated information in loan files including financial reporting requirements, insurance, taxes, mortgages.
  • Reviews approved Credit Approval Memo (CAM) and orders title and lien searches, flood certifications, Environmental Database Report (EDR) and appraisals necessary to process and close commercial loans.
  • Provides Member and Team Member service by screening telephone calls, visitors and incoming correspondence and distributes them to the appropriate staff.
  • Documents and opens business deposit accounts for the Business Services Department and verifies required entity documentation has been collected.
  • Assists Deposit Operations with questions in regards to business accounts opened in branches.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE – (Equivalent combination of Education & Experience will be considered.)

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
A minimum of one year up to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
